With more than 140 live performances in Italy and Europe, Petrolio is a solo project by Enrico Cerrato, a versatile artist able to move with ease between experimental and noise music, soundtracks and compositions for the theatre In recent years, the artist has released numerous singles, EP and albums, playing throughout Europe, sharing the stage with artists of the caliber of Lingua Ignota, Lustmord and Karin Park, Jesu, Fennecs, and many more, and performing in international festivals. It boasts high profile collaborations with artists of the caliber of Jochen Arbeit (Einstrzende Neubauten), Aidan Baker (Nadja), as well as many noble names of the Italian noise/ industrial scene as Italian as Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo (Almagest!, Blind Salamander, Coypu, Coypu, Lanzen, XXL), Sigillum S, Stefania Pedretti and Mai Mai Mai.
